11/5:
  • Sun technician (Lee) was here the whole morning trying to switch out the systemboard of hep01. New board doesn't accept input from terminal. Lee put the old board back and will get a new board.
  • Herbert have problem with sending out emails. Helped him resolving his mail settings.
  • Chengping has network problem. Problem turns out to be Liu Qian disconnect the power to the switch in his room. Chengping's network connection goes to that switch.
  • Trying to install mn_fit. Having a lot of problems becauase of the cernlib. Still working on this.

11/6:
  • working on mn_fit installation. Taking a break after trying it for 1.5 hrs.
  • emailed Brian about the firewall.
  • Unable approve mathematica home use license. Emailed Dave/Wolfram for help
  • requested matlab media for installation.
  • working on Dr. Olsen's pc.

11/7:
  • picked up matlab and install matlab.
  • finalize setup of Dr. Olsen's PC.
  • help Karen with access database.
  • try again on getting mn_fit compiled. Still not successful. emailed the author about compilation error.
  • take the afternoon off for mom's doctor appointment.
